Dear fellow journalist,

I am writing to ask that you add your signature to the attached letter: Journalists in support of a new trial for Mumia Abu-Jamal. Support for a new trial for Mumia, an award-winning journalist, is international, and includes over 150 prominent lawyers in the UK whose letter asks the Appeal Court to redress the racism to which Mumia was subjected in his original trial and since.

This is an article on Mumia Abu-Jamal, the journalist who has been on Pennsylvania’s death row for over 25 years and who the Global Women’s Strike (GWS, London and Philadelphia) and Legal Action for Women in particular have been working with. In the hard copy, Mr Abu-Jamal’s photo was full size taking up the whole of the front page of the second section of the newspaper. The article appeared with one other full page photo.
