Journalists in support of a new trial for Mumia Abu-Jamal
November 2007
Dear fellow journalist,
I am writing to ask that you add your signature to the attached letter: Journalists in support of a new trial for Mumia Abu-Jamal. Support for a new trial for Mumia, an award-winning journalist, is international, and includes over 150 prominent lawyers in the UK whose letter asks the Appeal Court to redress the racism to which Mumia was subjected in his original trial and since.
Interview with Mumia: "I spend my days preparing for life, not death"
This is an article on Mumia Abu-Jamal, the journalist who has been on Pennsylvania’s death row for over 25 years and who the Global Women’s Strike (GWS, London and Philadelphia) and Legal Action for Women in particular have been working with. In the hard copy, Mr Abu-Jamal’s photo was full size taking up the whole of the front page of the second section of the newspaper. The article appeared with one other full page photo.

We shop at Rainbow because we believe in what it stands for - an independent worker-run coop which has refused to be beholden to corporate America and which came out of the movement of the ‘60s for good food, ecology, social justice and peace.
Mumia Abu-Jamal, Ona Move! Greetings to the Global Women's Strike
The call of the Global Women's Strike this year, for an 'End to Poverty and War'; for 'Investments in Caring Not Killing!'; for 'A Living Wage for All Our Work!', could not come at a better time.
