You are invited to the 9th Global Women’s Strike, Bay Area Event!

For the 9th GWS/Bay area event and the 21st anniversary of the Haitian Constitution, join GWS/Bay Area and Haiti Action Committee (HAC) for an event focusing on resistance by women and men against repression in Haiti and Oaxaca, Mexico. 

Fresh from the Pan African Film Festival in LA, see the Bay Area premier of the film ‘Oaxaca: Megamarch for Justice’.  And see ‘What’s Going On In Haiti”, film clips that show the reality of the US backed UN occupation of Haiti. Also, hear report backs from the first international women’s conference held in Oaxaca, Mexico, March 14-16 which was organized by the Committee for the Defense of the Rights of Women (CODEM), a grassroots organization of mainly Indigenous women in the State of Oaxaca, Mexico; and on the Fund Caregiving Not War and Occupation initiative.
