How to handle the Media:

Help publicise the Strike and its demands by contacting newspapers, newsletters, journals and other publications.

  • Call radio and TV stations (some have women's or community programes), tell them why you are planning to go on strike - you could use the news articles below as a model.
  • Don't forget there are Strike jingles in English and Spanish and song which your local radio may be interested in broadcasting (contact us to get a copy).
  • We also have a webcast and videos with footage from previous years Global Women's Strike, in English and Spanish
