Women with disabilities are workers too In an inaccessible world, people with disabilities work harder just to survive. Much of disability is caused by poverty, pollution, war and the arms trade, industrial accidents, and other effects of a deadly world economy. We are seen as recipients of care, but we also raise children and care for others. WinVisible campaigns for women with visible and invisible disabilities to be recognized as workers who contribute to society. We are all entitled to an independent income and to pay equity. We demand an end to violence by institutions and others, and to discrimination. |
