What are the forces against President Chavez? How is he dealing with corruption? What are the missions and how have women been crucial to them? What changes have been made in the oil/energy sector? What is the latest on foreign policy? What are the challenges for the revolutionary process?

Also see the video Birth of a Network and hear Paul Jay, Chairman of Independent World Television, on this worldwide tv network being launched. Clips from the video Talking of Power, a brand new film on the revolutionary process in Venezuela by the Bolivarian Circle of the Global Women’s Strike, will also be shown, including President Chavez speaking about women in ‘el proceso’, footage of Afro and Indigenous villages, union organizers and more. The public meeting is coordinated by the Global Women’s Strike/LA and co-sponsored by several organizations.

§ make an in-kind contribution (e.g., copying, childcare, Spanish translation, equipment, security)

§ assist with publicity – send emails to your list at least two times before the event, distribute flyers

§ commit in other ways to help with turnout (sending people to/ participating in the event)
