On Sept 24 thousands of people across the US will be joining forces to demand the end of war and occupation. According to the Congressional Budget Office the price of war in Iraq is now over $800 billion, while US government ‘response’ to Katrina has left people destitute and wrenched
apart - overwhelmingly people of African descent, over 100,000 immigrants from Central and Latin America, also white working class people were hard hit. The treatment of older people has been visibly and constantly horrible, and people with disabilities have been left to die. Starting with New
Orleans and other Gulf Coast communities, we say the money must go to the needs of caregivers, older people, people with disabilities, youth and communities, to healthcare for all, affordable housing, cleaning up of the environment, the re-unification of families, the right to return, no gentrification, community oversight of relief funds and other resources, transport, education for all (schools for learning, not military hunting grounds), welfare and other resources, not to military budgets and prisons.

From Iraq, to Haiti, to Palestine, to the Philippines, to Venezuela, to New Orleans

No to US military/corporate occupation, destabilization anywhere…!!
