New Japan's Women's Association protest in Tokyo against attack on Fallujah
On November 10, 2004, the New Jampan women's association staged a protest in front of the U.S. embassy in Tokyo against the U.S. attack on Fallujah. Together with other members fo the Joint Committee for the Abrogation of the Japan - U.S. Security Treaty, NJWA President TAKADA Kimiko presented a letter of protest addressed to U.S. President George W. Bush, demanding the stop of the total offensive against the city, which has already taken lives of innocent civilians including children. NJWA called for the immediate withdrawal of Japan's Self-Defense Forces and all other foreign military forces from Iraq, letting Iraqi people to govern their country with the help of the United Nations. |
