A busy week for Brian!
TRIAL
Brian's court case started on Tuesday and will continue on 19 November. The link below gives some details of the proceedings so far. A number
of supporters were there which was great, and Tony Benn was also there
to support.

COUNTRYSIDE ALLIANCE PROTEST
Brian survived the goings-on outside Parliament on Wednesday very well -
the police protected him with barriers and police lines despite saying in a letter to him before the demonstration that they would not be able
to protect him.
However, the long-term consequences for him and all protestors outside Parliament is looking increasingly bleak as the authorities seem likely
to use what happened this week as an excuse to ban protest in Parliament
Square (see http://news.scotsman.com/uk.cfm?id=1091052004). Banning
protest near parliament was already written into the draft of the consultation document for the Modernising Police Powers to Meet
Community Needs (Guardian 13 August
http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,,1282125,00.html) as well as
other draconian measures.
ATTACK BY INDIVIDUAL 17 SEPTEMBER
At 6 am Friday 17 September an American man attacked Brian's display and
damaged many of the photographs of children. The police quickly arrested him and charged him with criminal damage.
