Veles, Macedonia 

As you know we organized a meeting to give support to the citizens of Veles, and it was a response to and support for the demands of the citizens and civil associations of Veles that are facing pollution of their living environment and with shocking consequences on the health of the citizens of Veles. At the meeting there were a lot of people from all around the country, reporters and journalists.  Representatives from the government, the Mayor of Veles and Minister for Ecology were present.

The meeting was opened by our President Savka Todorovska. She is born in Veles and unfortunately now Veles is the black hole on the ecological map of Republic of Macedonia. She made an appeal to the authorities to find a solution and undertake appropriate measures to maintain and prevent the living environment, because citizens of Veles should live in a healthy environment.

Speeches were also held by the mayor of Veles, the president of the women's organization of Veles and the Minister for Ecology. There were slogans for changing the current situation, for healthy environment, life without pollution, always green and always blue...
