* * * COSTA RICA * * * Radio for Peace International doing programme about International Women’s Day with interviews with Global Women's Strike activists. Feminists International Radio Endeavour/Radio Internacional Feminista (FIRE) in collaboration with WIN – the Women’s Network of World Association of Community Radios (AMARC) will do no domestic work and broadcast a 10 hour Internet WEBCAST Marathon day called "Full Spectrum Against Racism". It will include the Strike in recognition of women’s work, and especially "the voices of women of colour in their struggle against racism in preparation for participation at the UN Conference Against Racism. It will run between 9am-7pm, first five hours in Spanish, next four in English and the last hour in French. Calls will be broadcast in the caller’s language. Women must arrange beforehand the times to call in and e-mails that can be read out during the marathon. Interviews with the Latin American and Caribbean Black Women’s Network and the Continental Articulation Against Racism, and programme by black women activists in the USA about racial profiling.
