On International Women's Day, the "8 March Women's Collective of Alcoi and Cocentaina" demonstrated in "El Plà" in Cocentaina. At 12 o'clock they read out the manifesto of the Third Global Women's Strike. They called for women to put their brooms out on the balconies upside down. |

In February, during carnival celebrations in their hometown, women dressed as Mothers of the Disappeared with pots and pans. Their placards read "We aren't paid for the work we do and they want to take away our pensions" and "Invest in Caring, Not Killing". They gave out Strike and Pay Women, Not the Military leaflets. |
