You are invited to a GALA EVENING!
A FUNDRAISING THEATRICAL ACT OF DISSENT
FOR THE  4TH GLOBAL WOMEN'S STRIKE!

Tickets available at the door. Suggested donation $10.00.

On MONDAY, MARCH 3 at 7PM at Track 16, 2525 Michigan Ave. Bldg. C-1 in Santa Monica*, the provocative play LYSISTRATA, by Aristophanes, A Woman's Translation by Drue Robinson Hagan, will be read on this day as part of a worldwide anti-war protest happening in 500 cities around the world on March 3rd.  The play is an ancient and very timely play in which women withhold sex in order to stop men from going to war, the world's first war protest comedy.  It is adult material.  A speaker from the Global Women's Strike will briefly give a strike update at the event.

Artists performing in this show and Track 16 have graciously offered the proceeds from this event to go to the Global Women's Strike.  Come out for a very entertaining as well as seriously anti-war evening.  Spread the word and bring your friends!  You will be supporting the 4th GLOBAL WOMEN'S STRIKE, actions by women and girls in over 80 countries on every continent that have taken place every year on March 8 since the new millennium.  We strike to STOP THE WORLD AND CHANGE IT and demand a world which values all women's work and every life.  We strike to reclaim the military budget (over $900 billion a year worldwide) and to demand that this wealth be invested in CARING NOT KILLING.  Also please join us on Saturday, March 8, International Women's Day, at 11am, for a march and rally at the Westwood Federal Building, under the banner "Women Say No War - Invest in Caring Not Killing!"

We look forward to seeing you first on March 3 in Santa Monica for the FUNDRAISING THEATRICAL ACT OF DISSENT and then on March 8 for the GLOBAL WOMEN'S STRIKE action in LA.

Power to the sisters internationally,

Margaret Prescod for the Global Women's Strike
