march to Raipur on 13 March as part of Strike. Dalit women’s university helping with
translations. Indigenous women’s organisation, Ghumusar Mahila
Sangathan, working on
issues around socio-economic exploitation and discrimination. Organise rallies and
demonstrations every year on 8 March. This time going on strike on 8 March – girls,
women and youth will get together in a central place of Eastern Ghats Region followed by
rally, public meeting, demonstrations and street theatre. Men are also participating.
Women will go round the township with household things and implements that we use during
working at home, forest produce collection and agriculture fields to intensify the meaning
of the day.
